The Story Behind CleanOutPro Junk Removal

CleanOutPro Junk Removal & Hauling was founded by me, John Atkins, at the beginning of 2024. The idea for the company came unexpectedly after I helped my sister clear out a home following the passing of her boyfriend’s father. It was a two-story house with a basement under renovation, and my job was to remove all the furniture and miscellaneous items. Nothing too out of the ordinary—but it was a big job. It took three days and three 14-yard dumpsters to clear everything out.

By the end of it, I was exhausted, but there was something incredibly rewarding about seeing the transformation from cluttered to clean. More than that, I saw the relief and appreciation it brought to my sister and her boyfriend. That feeling stuck with me.

After the job was done, my friend Ayden, who had been working with me on the project, suggested that we start a junk removal business and do this full-time. At first, I wasn’t sure. But the more we talked about it, the more sense it made. It was a service people needed, and I knew we could do it well.

From that moment on, I put everything into making CleanOutPro a reality. Morning, day, and night, I focused on getting the business off the ground—building a website, acquiring several trailers and trucks, and investing heavily in marketing. The hard work paid off. Since launching, we’ve handled over 100 projects, maintained a five-star reputation, and continued to grow steadily.

Looking ahead, our goal is to expand our services across all of Central Ohio and become the top junk removal company in the state for both residential and commercial needs.

What started as a simple cleanup project turned into a thriving business that makes a real difference for our customers—and we’re just getting started.
